Yet another poem, you lucky people!

I'm spoiling you!

So yes, I have another creation, inspired by Charlotte. She gave me another phrase, and hallelujah, this came about. :) I get people say to me that they have no idea what my poetry means, and it makes me wonder if they're afraid to ask me. Honestly, if you read something you don't understand, you're more then welcome to tell me, and I'll happily explain. Warning though, some of them have depressing meanings, but it's my views on certain subjects, and I find poetry a form of expression. Occasionally I write about things that may bring hopes and spirits up, but I'm not good with inspiration or up-lifting words of happiness. I'm better with the darker subjects, since I'm actually quite a dark person. I'd rather search ghost stories and wear dark clothes, and sit in a dark room and generally scare people away, than smile all day, wear nice bright clothes and welcome every person I see into my life with open arms. So I appologise if that makes me obnoxious and makes you not like my poetry, but honestly, my views are simply opinions, and I thought I should throw this out there in case you wonder what anything means. Like I said, ask away. :)

So anyway, here's the poem I wrote. It's called 'Second Chances?'. I hope you like it. :)

Orbiting the great ball of fire that feeds us essentials,
Home to ants of the universe’s potential,
A glittering ball of sapphire sea,
Habitat to glimpses of life like me.

Each tiny mind that dwells within,
Causes each other a constant din,
Such a buzz of carefree chatter,
Morals and thoughts caught up in the scatter.
And no-one thinks twice,
Or cares to be nice,
They sprinkle their spice,
With the aim to entice,
Their words like ice.

There’s no second chances after we’re gone,
When dusk comes along we’ll see no dawn,
For when we cease to exist and all traces vanish,
We’ll climb heavens stairs to be thrown out and banished.
